Product Description
The secret to this innovative product is not a drug or a tranquilizer, but pheromones, natural chemicals secreted by animals to communicate. Feliway mimics the facial pheromone released by cats to calm and reassure other cats. The Comfort Zone plug-in will relax your kitten or cat in these stressful situations and more: when transporting, boarding or hospitalizing, when moving to a new home, and when introducing a new household member. Just screw the plug-in onto the bottle, gently tighten, and plug into an ordinary household electric socket.

2 out of 5 stars disappointed   July 29, 2010
L.A.
I have a male cat who is almost 12 yrs old. He was nuetered as a kitten. When my son started college 2 yrs ago, my cat started spraying our matt by the front door. I tried the Feliway spray and that didn't help so I decided to try the diffuser. It's been 3 weeks and there is no change in his frequency of spraying.

4 out of 5 stars It's Definitely Worth a Try.   July 26, 2010

My three year old cat went crazy after I bought new bedroom furniture. Everything was new and nothing smelled familiar to him, which made him out of sorts and slightly aggressive. He slept in my new bed and would bite and scratch when I dared share the bed with him (how dare I want to sleep in MY OWN BED!). I bought a Feliway diffuser for my bedroom and he was much calmer the night I plugged it in. I kept a spray bottle of water on my night table to shake at him if he started to get difficult, and hardly had to use it. After a few days he was a perfect little gentleman and back to sleeping beside me in bed with no problems. The one plug-in did the trick and I didn't bother with a refill.

It's maybe four months later and I've just adopted a new kitten. There's been some hissing and growling on both parts but it's been otherwise smooth (so far). I purchased a refill for my bedroom and another diffuser for the living room in hopes of making the adjustment a little bit easier for all of us.

1 out of 5 stars Feliway was a bust for our cats   July 25, 2010

We have two cats, about 8 and 10 years old. The 8-year-old cat suddenly started peeing inappropriately in our basement-- out of nowhere. When medical tests revealed a healthy cat with no medical problems, my vet suggested Feliway plugins and spray. I tried the plugins (one in each corner of the basement where she likes to pee) and used the spray daily-- I used both of these religiously for about 4 months and finally came to the conclusion that they don't work for my obnoxious cat. She would pee against the wall right underneath the plugins, even after they'd been there for months and were supposed to be "kicking in".

Feliway ended up being a waste of time and money for us, and the cat is still peeing inappropriately!!! Argh.

1 out of 5 stars This is a scam, don't bother   July 25, 2010

Not only does this not work at all, it leaves a greasy film on everything around the emitter. There is a faint smell from the product, and the cats haven't noticed it at all. There are no experiments to back up this product's claims. Don't waste your money.

5 out of 5 stars Saved me from killing my cats   July 20, 2010

I heard about this from a friend who was using it. I was hesitant to use it but after 2 weeks of no sleep b/c my cats (brother and sister) would not stop tearing up each other and the house I caved and bought it. Within 48 hours they calmed.

The only negative side effect is that my male is OVERLY happy. I can't get him off me LOL but it beats the hissing and fighting and destruction of furniture.
