My girls love this stuff however, I can't say the same thing for myself. The first time I opened a package I ended up flinging it outside while the dogs fended for themselves. The smell really stung and I lost all sense of purpose for my life. I'm saying this because there needs to be careful preparation on your end before you open a package. You will need some gloves or paper towels and a gas mask or hold your breath. The smell compares to nothing I've ever witnessed. It smacks you in the face (twice) so you should under no circumstances open the package in the house. It will linger! Once you open the package do not reach in with bare hands! That is what the gloves or paper towels are for, but remember you need to be holding your breath. I give this 4 stars because of the various lengths and widths. Being that I have two dogs it's hard to pick two that match and the smell prevents you from looking that long. Other than that, it's an awesome treat!

Thought I would try a different kind of tripe. I bought Evanger's Freeze-Dried Beef Tripe Treats for Dogs and Cats last time, and boy I wish I'd stuck with it. This stuff is repugnant. I know I know, it's not for me, but I can barely take opening the bag and the smell won't come off my fingers even with dish soap and it lingers on a hot day in the house. I don't have a yard to feed the dog outside, so that's not an option. The dog enjoys it, but the cat is insanely jealous but she won't and probably shouldn't eat it, as it's hard and sharp kinda like a pigs ear. Evanger's Freeze-Dried Beef Tripe Treats for Dogs and Cats is softer, more natural looking and isn't oily and doesn't stink anywhere near as much as this stuff does! Oh it's soooooo gross! Ok for the price and it is gluten free and all that but I just can't take the smell, bleorg.

Whenever I open the bag my dog comes quickly with his tail wagging. Definitely not a pleasant smell but it doesn't bother him at all. Beef Tripe is good for dogs with kidney problems. Price is about right, average for the treats included. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the smell.

Made in the USA - all tripe with no wheat fillers. For medium-large dogs only - our boxer scarfed it up after playing with a small piece for almost 15 minutes. Our trainer recommended tripe.
